Flavor Profile: Kaido has a smooth and rich flavor and a well-rounded natural sweetness. When mixed with a bit of hot water, known as "oyu-wari", the alcohol backs off a bit and releases a flavor and aroma, which warms the body to the very core.

Single-distilled honkaku shochu. Made from select kogane-sengan sweet potatoes, specially harvested in the Kagoshima prefecture, traditional kurokoji (black yeast) and pure, deep sea water. "Iwai no aka" which means celebratory red is the color of the bottle, not the Shochu itself.
